So, I have a few updates for you.
First, I’ve finally gotten the first mini-lesson video uploaded and on the site! You can find it by clicking HERE!
Secondly, under the recommendations tab, I’ve created a Professional Musician Recommendations page that housed my former recommendations, and, more importantly, there is now a Testimonials page so you can see what current students and parents have to say! I’ve just gathered a couple so far, but expect to see more coming!
Thirdly, I will be playing in the pit bands for two musicals this summer. I’ll be playing for the CPS productions of Hairspray and Little Shop Of Horrors!
Lastly, I have big plans for jonduforemusic. This summer I will be designing new programs, developing more curriculum for multiple instruments, and bringing you updated lesson packages, amongst many other things! Exciting times are coming as we continue to grow!
I will be playing solo guitar arrangements of some jazz standards as well as some pop tunes for an upcoming art exhibit opening.
The opening will take place at the SLC Arts Council and will be showcasing pieces from St. Lawrence County college students.
The opening reception will be on Friday, April 5th from 6:00pm – 8:00pm. The exhibit will run through Sunday, May 4th. This is free and open to the public.
The SLC Arts Council is located at 51 Market St. Potsdam, NY 13676.
I’ll be teaching another music class series via the St. Lawrence County Arts Council on 4/12, 4/19, and 4/26.
This class will be entitled “Getting Started with Music Theory”.
This class is open to all musicians looking to get a beginning look at the inner workings of music.

I’ve gotten my hands on some new workbooks and I can’t wait to share them. These are proven workbooks put together from years of teaching experience across all the instruments I offer. Music is a language, just like any other. When you learned your native language, you learned to speak first. You then learned all the rules like grammar, spelling, and syntax. These workbooks are based on the same idea; designed to get you playing fast, followed quickly by understanding the musical concepts behind it all!
Looking forward to a great future for jonduforemusic!!
Victor Wooten is my favorite musician for his views on music. Victor views music as a language, just like any other language you can speak. Heres a short video on that thought.
[youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3yRMbH36HRE&w=560&h=315]I will be teaching a group guitar class in coordination with the SLC Arts Council.
The class is entitled “Expanding The Fretboard With Chords”
In this class we will use our knowledge of open chords to play chords in different positions up the neck.
